La Dra. Laura Palagini es médico psiquiatra con amplia experiencia en la medicina del dormir. En 2004 terminó su doctorado habiendo trabajado en la evaluación molecular, funcional y metabólica del sistema nervioso. La Dra. Palagini forma parte del comité organizador de la Sociedad Italiana de Medicina del Dormir y de la Red Europea del Estudio del Insomnio; La Dra. Palagini ha contribuido su participación en diferentes capacidades a la World Sleep Society, European Sleep Research Society, and the Sleep Research Society. La Dra. Palagini es una prolífica investigadora clínica quien ha hecho contribuciones importantes al estudio del Insomnio; sus publicaciones reflejan un esfuerzo sostenido, manteniendo colaboraciones importantes con investigadores en Europa y en los EEUU. En la entrevista de Septiembre 21, 2020 tuvimos la oportunidad de platicar respecto a los aspectos diagnósticos del Insomnio y la Dra. Palagini compartió su experiencia en el manejo del paciente con Insomnio Crónico.

Dr. Laura Palagini is a psychiatrist with broad experience in Sleep Medicine. She completed her doctoral degree in 2004 having worked on the molecular, functional, and metabolic assessment of the nervous system. Dr. Palagini is a member of the organizing committee of the Italian Sleep Medicine Society, and of the European Insomnia Network; she has served in different capacities in the World Sleep Society, European Sleep Research Society, and the Sleep Research Society. Dr. Palagini has been a prolific clinical researcher in sleep medicine with particular interest in Insomnia; her publications reflect important collaborative efforts with other sleep researchers not only in Italy but across Europe and the U.S. During the September 21, 2020 interview, we had the opportunity to talk about relevant aspects of the diagnosis of Insomnia and Dr. Palagini shared her vast experience in the management of Chronic Insomnia.*
